Everything you want in life is because a future version of you already has it.

The concept of a ‘goal setting mindset’ took on a whole new meaning for me recently. The other day I heard that whatever you dream about, you dream because the future version of yourself already has it.

It stopped me in my tracks!

I thought: that’s an interesting way of looking at things. 🧐

So I started to think. If I already have 100% certainty that I achieved my goals: even the most unrealistic ones the entire process of achieving my goals is becoming more enjoyable. There is no need to stress and fret because what I want is already mine.

Of course, I still have to put in the work but I am working towards something with the knowledge that I am not going to fail. How cool is that?

If you are into manifestation you may think it is the same: you need to have faith that what you want will materialise. The key word here is faith. With the belief: everything you want in life is because a future version of you already has it, you are coming from a place of certainty instead of faith.

You can argue I am being delusional and I can’t be truly sure I will achieve the goals. If you look at things differently I respect that.

I decided I want to go with a different goal setting mindset approach and see how this plays out for me. Why? Because I’ve been reasonable for so many years and yes I achieved my goals, but those goals were what we call them: realistic goals.

Goals that scared me a little (or a little more) I didn’t go for because they felt overwhelming. Now I am willing to give them a try and in all honesty, it makes me feel better.

In essence, embracing this goal setting mindset is more than just a technique; it’s a lifestyle change. It’s about believing that your goals are attainable and enjoying the journey to reach them.

As I continue to explore and share my experiences, I hope to inspire others to adopt this mindset, making goal achievement a more joyful and stress-free process.

Why?

Because I started to truly enjoy challenging how I look at things. Yes, it requires changing how I think and working on being in a great mood and positive energy but the end result is enjoying life a little bit more. If you ask me, it is worth the effort.

I will soon share what it is that I am currently doing to set myself up for a great day each day

Stay tuned.
